Do you like to cook?
If so, pull up a stool and have a seat.
The Salsa Man Television Pilot is heating up the kitchen and adding a little island warmth to the mountains of
Asheville, NC.
We are pleased to have played a major role in the first production shot at Western North
Carolina's newest studio facility.
The Salsa Man pilot provides us with an excellent opportunity to prove that even on a modest budget, our
professional results can be maintained.
This simple set was built mainly by utilizing 4x10 stage flats, which were later skinned on the interior with
a varity of materials including, coragated metal, antique bead board and old barn wood.
We custom created all of the cabinetry on site using common salvage materials.
An old eight panel door becomes a raised pannel sink cabinet, a large wooden packing crate serves as the
center island and focal point of the kitchen & the shelves consist of assorited fruit crates that lend
the feel of an island market.
Even when faced with an erratic schedule and modest budget, actual construction time for a minimal crew,
ten days.
"What we lacked in budget was more than made up for imagination!"
